Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. There is no question about it. This album ruled in the disco, all tracks playable.
So tight and funky Boogie Wonderland.
I am quite surprised that I am the first person leaving a comment for this superb album. What a great chill out, funky, up-beat experience this is. Coming out in 79 it has a very eighties feel about it which I absolutely love. Stunning production which jumps out of the speakers, well, the vinyl does anyway. 'After the Love Has Gone' is a personal favourite, sublime!
