The best compliment I can give this album is that it was given to me in 1973 when I was a freshman in college and I haven't stopped listening to it since. I was pure rock and roll and country rock then, artists like Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, The Band, Goose Creek Symphony were my favorites. Jazz was far, far off my radar. Yet Compared to What cranked my spirits like no other song did back then. And it still does today.
