I don't think I've ever come across a group of tracks like these where I feel so completely different about each one. IV is fantastic, I'd rather never hear VII again, and the rest just kind of fall randomly in between. Some parts are really great examples of avant-garde jazz while others just feel like the band is simply messing around. There's nothing wrong with that of course, but in this case it comes off as obnoxious and directionless and really tests the listener's patience. I'm sure some people will love this album for all of these reasons though.
