Another great record by Chico, with no weak tracks.
A few songs had been censored for years ("Cálice", a masterful hymn for freedom of speech, and the anti-dictatorship samba "Apesar de Você") and others come from his "Ópera do Malandro" (a version of "The Threepenny Opera"), including the highly erotic "O Meu Amor" and the saddest song I ever heard, "Pedaço de Mim", a great duet with the lovely Zizi Possi. Also wonderful are the divorce ballad "Trocando em Miúdos" and "Tanto Mar", a song celebranting the Carnation Revolution in Portugal.
A lyrical, political, funny and heartbreaking masterpiece of an album. (Edited)
