Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 13% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.3/100, a mean average of 72.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.0.

Kudos to Cypress Hill. They had a complete original sound of their own with this debut album. Fantastic grooves with a slight heavy overtone. How can you not love it? How can you not groove to it? Top class. (Edited)

lots of this really hazy, bassy production reminds me of Enter the 36 Chambers except it came out two years earlier! Most golden age hip-hop can't lay claim to beats anywhere near this aggro and funky and B-Real's delivery alternates between hilarious and eerie with one of the most distinct vocal styles in hip-hop. If there's a complaint it's that there are too many songs about partying and not enough about killing people(those songs are the best ones). (Edited)

It's not all great, but most of it is. (Edited)
Classic rap album. Very original in its day. (Edited)
