The rating for 'God' was genuine though, by the way.

I genuinely pissed myself throughout some of these songs, hence the high ratings.

On the surface, it's somewhat amazing that an anti-establishment folk singer from 1970 can sound so much like the Ramones ('Lower East Side') and the Clash ('Hey Mr. Draft board'). But then, they all smoked tremendous amounts of pot, so perhaps some similarity is to be expected. If you want vociferous anti-cop, anti-vietnam, pro-harm principle libertarianism, and pro-legalization sentiment, you've come to the right place. Unfortunately, the music is awfully repetitive (especially 'Oink Oink'). Peel's manic vocal inflections are pretty fun to begin with, but even they get a little tired as they reappear again and again throughout the album. Also, too much cowbell.
