An incredibly wonderful album!
Positivity, romanticism, sexuality, love, virtuosity, coolness in everything. I suspect it was a particularly happy time for all the members of a new hard rock band called WHITESNAKE. Coverdale did a great job.

Very Deep Purpleish, not a bad thing, since the singing and playing is top notch A few hits makes this a decent thing
As a Record Collector I always said "the album cover is as important as the music within the grooves".
And they certainly got that right with this artwork! In my Top 10 Albums covers!
This is a really bluesy sounding album where John Lord's Hammond shines through on most tracks. Superb guitar soloing on 'Walking in the Shadow of the Blues'. Quite a thought provoking sleeve...
