This album totally rocks. In my opinion it's his best release before he went totally commercial. Paul(McCartney) Ramon backround vocals on "My Dark Hour". Nicky Hopkins piano on "Kow Kow". (Edited)

THis album has some notable guitarwork from Miller. Strong songs and cohesion from the band,
A good band, a good album to start with-- and then you add several dashes of McCartney, and, well, you keep coming back to it for decades.
It's not exactly the musical equivalent of the literary 'Brave New World', but this early SMB release (their 3rd) has some fun and interesting songs that hint at the future musical success the group would garner. Seasons and Space Cowboy are my favourites.
Been a Steve Miller fan going back some forty years. This is my favorite. From the long time radio favorite Space Cowboy to the gorgeous Seasons, Miller takes all the musical trends of the time and makes them his own. Something he always excels at. Give it a listen!
