I really don't understand why this album isn't considered Radioheads best. Without this album no Muse, no Porcupine Tree, to name a few. Even Gillian Welch covered an song from this album. Two popular chart songs on this albums\ and an obscure favourite of so many people (Fake Plastic Trees). When I listen to OK computer, I hear the B-sides of The Bends.

Top 100 Greatest Music Albums ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:

n = number of ratings an item has currently received.
m = minimum number of ratings required for an item to appear in a 'top-rated' chart (currently 10).
AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 81.7/100, a mean average of 80.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 81.4/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 13.1.

I'm with An_Outlaw, An Awesome Wave is a bit unsettling in the top slot, especially visually seeing it ranked over Robert Johnson, but you have 49 more picks to make up for it. With Kate Bush, Frank Black, De La Soul, and The Good The Bad & The Queen I'm left satisfied. Looking forward to seeing the next 50

Great chart. Love the love for Alt-J and Jose Gonzalez. And Stay Gold in the top 20 - wow! I'll have to check out some of your other out-of-the-ordinary picks some time. Very diverse.

I also prefer the first half (Nick Drake, Air, Clap your hands say yeah!..), but interesting picks in the second (Neon Bible, TV on the radio..). Good Chart!

Bold choice at the top, huge respect to Nick Drake, and a healthy mix of classics and personal touches. Love it.
