El álbum debut de Héroes del Silencio podría ser una versión en español de los Smiths, tienen más en común con la banda de Morrissey y compañía que con... digamos, Led Zeppelin. El guitarrista Juan Valdivia tiene un estilo arpegiado muy similar a Johnny Marr, y la parte rítmica del baterista y bajista, Pedro Andreu y Joaquín Cardiel, respectivamente, son el equivalente al sonido de Mick Joyce y Andy Rourke. Incluso tienen a un vocalista con su propia voz característica y que se complementa extraordinariamente con la música de sus respectivas bandas; así como Morrissey imprime su sello con The Smiths, Enrique Bunbury complementa el sonido de Héroes del silencio, con una voz potente y letras enigmáticas. Un gran disco debut, pero posteriormente de la mano de Phil Manzanera, ex-guitarrista de Roxy Music, lograrían consolidarse como una gran e importante banda de rock en español.
