A 21st Century updating of the pioneers of the niche "psychobilly" style of L.A.'s "The Cramps" of the 80s, Denmark's "HorrorPops" burst forth from one's speakers with the demented sounds of the disc "Hell Yeah! fronted by upright bassist and lead vocalist Patricia, and the dueling grimy/garage/graveyard guitar tones of Nekroman and Karsten. Patricia brings to mind the aforementioned Cramps singers Poison Ivy and Lux Interior, both in vocal style and choice of lyrical topics - singing of ghoulish drama queens, monster movies, and to quote one particular song title, "Psychbitches Outta Hell". The irreverent fun is always around to be uncovered in unexpected places - maybe even found under the bed. This Danish pop punk/rockabilly outfit know exactly how to dig up a dying entertainment form and raise the rock and soul(s) of many too soon departed rockers of the past.
