Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. for what it's worth, I agree with you and your comment probably needs to be addressed to the one user who has included this album in their chart.

This is a perfect example of why greatest hits collections should not be included in the rankings. It diminishes the integrity of an otherwise excellent list.
Not because of the music, mind you, which I'll never get to hear. But because:
1) There is nothing "1970" about it (Glenn Miller died in 1944)
2) It isn't really an album any more than a collection of short stories is a novel.
3) It is unavailable in any format.
If this is how it's going to be why not just put "Library of Congress" at #1 and be done with it?
