Daryl Hall IS what every white singer wishes s/he sounded like when they sang soul. Hall is the very essence of "Blue Eyed Soul". This 1996 release, originally on the Japanese BMG Label (Cat#: BVCP-994) and eventually released in 2003 on Liquid Records (Cat#: LIQ 12109) features soulful strut after soulful strut, and near the finish Hall graces the audience with a re-imagining of the classic "She's Gone" that he sang 20 years prior as a member of Hall & Oates. The remake was not necessary given that the original was perfect - but his older self adds nuance to this new version. A tremendous effort! Authenticated on discogs.com
