Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. It seems that the people making the 1001 Albums books have lost their minds. To get into a book you must make an album with songs with no sense, rhythm, message or whatever. This album is a prime example of that insanity.
