Wow tough crowd
I’m going to buck the trend and say I love this album and this artist. Katie Crutchfields 3rd release has a maturity and sensitivity beyond her years that hinted at a special artist destined for greatness who ultimately delivered on 2017’s ‘Out in the Storm’ and more so 2020’s ‘Saint Cloud’
‘Ivy Tripp’ rewards multiple listens and and only gets better with age
It's mediocre, sad female-led indie rock. It's a dime a dozen and there's dozens that do it better.

I was apprehensive, since I really did not like Cerulean Salt. This is exactly the album I would've wanted from Waxahatchee. Well-written, full-sounding track after track. Dynamic and captivating across the board. Maybe not the most exciting record of the year, but solid through and through.
Pretty enjoyable listen from start to finish, a great collection which mixes finger-blistering grunge and eloquent indie pop.

I could see how this album doesn't click with everybody. For me I fell in love right away. I would advice anyone to at least give it a listen. You may fall in love as with the album and her as well.
