Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Why is everyone dive bombing this in the ratings? It's a really cool album. Wand have fantastic energy, they play with real abandon which is surprisingly rare in the modern rock cannon. There's also genuine songcraft going on here, these guys know how to write a melody and their (numerous) riffs are interesting and tuneful, with none of the bland pentatonic meandering so many rockers rely on. The production is just the right level of noisy, it's bombastic but you can still hear what's going on. Well worth checking out if you like your music gutsy and a little frantic. (Edited)
