It sounds so 80's, but one of the few cases where that's not a bad thing. I can only imagine how much better this would be back in the day.
Really enjoy the instrumentation on this album but the vocals are so annoyingly 80s
An absolute classic. They basically deserve the same recognition as other great 80s indie pioneers like the Smiths, Joy Division and R.E.M. The Al Green cover nails it and their sense of wide eyed enthusiasm is infectious throughout the album.

I grew my fringe because of this album. It's great cover is a nod towards the Velvet Underground's first album.
