The Gabor Szabo of classic rock: understated, tuneful and grooving, he's never just flashing chops, he's about melody, tone and the song. He found and stuck with his perfect singer in James Dewar, and they made a consistent sound over a string of albums, solid and soulful, gems for connoisseurs.
