Rokia has always had a quiet integrity that I’ve respected, even if she’s not the first thing that springs to mind when I’m picking something to listen to. Né So is possibly the first of her albums that has made me pay full attention from start to finish. Also a decent entry point if you’ve never heard of her before.
Best track: Strange Fruit. Absolutely transcendent cover.
