Becoming one of my very favorite "pop" albums. Murphy's personally strange style makes the pop genre more interesting and listenable. (Edited)
.....how the hell can a "fixation" with electronic music become cringy ? sounds like an idiotic statement. do rock bands receive the same criticism if they release a handful of rock albums ??? hell no. anyway, this album is full of perceptive lyrics and is more ambitious and tonally varied than the previous gem "Hairless Toys" but nevertheless remains great like the rest of Murphy's work. She remains sorely underrated commercially and perhaps even critically judging by quite a few mixed reviews towards this record. Keep doing what you're doing Róisín ! (Edited)
