Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 74.5/100, a mean average of 74.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.1/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 12.9.

Loved Come Down as a 'moment in time' album. The music and vocals drawled in a psychedelic sort of way. Thirteen Tales took their song writing further with some great hooks and super-cool lyricism. But they seemed to lose their way after this with the occasional catchy tune. The 2 above-mentioned albums were of their time but they weren't able to stay relevant. A shame, because they are 2 of my favourite albums to throw on with a couple of scotches or a big fat spliff.
I'm currently giving the new album Distortland a listen and they have some catchy Indy rock tunes in there so far but nothing that makes me nod with respect at a return to form.
After an extensive trek on horse back the band performed as The Bandy Warhols

One great album and another underrated one does not a career make. These guys are decent.
Never really bought any of their albums, just a stupid name for a band
