Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 72.1/100, a mean average of 70.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.5/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 16.1.

One of my favourite bands of the 90s. I don’t agree with the view that their albums got progressively worse, and significantly so, after the first two. The fact that at the time of writing their top 20 tracks on this site are spread fairly evenly over all their first five albums maybe bears this out. I think fairer criticisms are that they didn’t evolve too much (perhaps with the exception of the heavier To The Faithful Departed) and that their albums were all a mixture of great tracks and the not so good (which admittedly might also explain the spread of the top 20). The great tracks including Linger, Zombie, Salvation, Promises and Analyse (chosen from across all the five albums) for me more than made up for the weaker ones and although the vocals can be an acquired taste I loved them along with the band’s overall, distinctive sound.
The Cranberries aren't always consistent in the quality of their albums, but purely on the basis of 'No Need To Argue' and 'Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?' they are among my favourites. They are a perfect example of the period in 90s rock when rock could be heavy while still stripped back in the production. Dolores O'Riordan's singing is not everyone's cup of tea, but I could drink that tea all day. Her voice is among my favourites, second only in her particular alt-rock vocal style to Alanis Morissette. Top tracks include Dreams, I Can't Be With You, Zombie, Linger, Ode To My Family, and the underrated Empty.
Dolores O'Riordan has a great and unique voice for North American ears. She's among the few Irish singers who don't sound American when they sing - like Johnny Marem. Each subsequent album is not as good as its predecessor. If you've never heard a Cranberries song or album, start with Roses. If you like that album, each following album should be a treat for you.
They should have quit after Bury the hatchet. That would have saved thema as a true great band for me!
I Enjoy Dolores O'Riordans vocals, very much a unique voice.
