What a terrifying band!! If the showy stuff isn't your thing, just try to get past the King Diamond persona and just enjoy some of the best heavy metal that you've ever heard. To a lot of people, the vocals are an acquired taste. To me, they were a breath of fresh air. Unique doesn't cover what these vocals are. Enjoy!
What a follow up for Melissa! King got his voice more under the control and the quirky guitar sound gets to its best these Danes ever did. Listen to Evil and Gypsy and you're hooked. That is, of course, if the voice of King is not annoying you. In the end, his singing is of an acquired taste to many.
