One of the few pop acts worthy of the title "artist". Its very rare to see someone in this genre contemplate their work and strive for perfection so much as he does. His progression from disposable boy band singer to legend is something which makes me reserve some semblance of hope that something good can still emerge from mainstream music.

Meh... I don't get why artists of my generation try so hard to be average.
One of the few creative forces in the mainstream pop industry. His transition from teen pop with N'SYNC to songs like Blue Ocean Floor keeps intriguing me. (Edited)

He may well be an artist that makes a lot pop fluff, but it's the good kind. Even if his originality has worn off and his newer work is on the questionable side, Timberlake was one of the premier pop artists of the 00s and undoubtedly one of the best. His older singles still hold up without relying on nostalgia and he continues to be interesting and changeable.
