M. Ward (Matthew Stephen Ward, born 1973) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer from Portland, Oregon. Known for his raspy voice and dusty, folk-blues Americana sound, he is famous for his solo work as well as being half of the indie-pop duo She & Him.
His music blends country, rock, and folk traditions into an "out of time" feel.
