Straight ahead hard rock with not much to separate it from the pack other than some killer attitude, which works best on stage; a far better live act and studio artist.
Great live act and guitar player. Albums are inconsistent. The first three are really good and then a few decent songs and albums here and there (Spirit of the Wild is actually a very good album). Ted's problem is the lyrics tend to be juvenile even on the newer stuff and his political rantings have ran off a lot of fans. That being said the guitar riffs are still there.

Even if one overlooks his wack-job political views, he's still a one-trick pony. Your standard flaming-guitar player with mediocre melody, vocals and lyrics.
