Very very exciting new prospect. Super lyrical and with sharp, charismatic delivery too. He has a really infectious tone of voice, kinda effeminate almost (people have likened him to Anderson .Paak, Lil Wayne and Kendrick in that regard). But the best thing about him BY FAR is how he plays with flow...
He just keeps changing it up so naturally. So much so that when I heard the XXL Freestyle I couldn't figure out what tempo he was rapping in overall! Then I realised that if you heard any of his raps without the beat under it you would probably be confused in the same way because he just keeps changing gears and catching you off guard.
Super excited for 'DiCaprio 2' and every subsequent project. 'Never' was one of the songs of 2017. He needs attention, really glad Cole and XXL are giving him a push! Also definitely check out Earthgang if you like J.I.D. Also from Atlanta, also signed to Dreamville.
