Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 55.8/100, a mean average of 43.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 43.4/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 26.0.

Think of it as free from abstract hip hop with minimalist metal beats and it makes perfect sense. Lou's peak as a lyricist and vocalist in spite of his old age when recording the album. Listen with focus and the melody in his voice will never let you down.
who thought this was a good idea? (Edited)
As a metallica album, it's terrible, but this never was a Metallica album in the first place. It's a Lou Reed album and in that perspective, it's a really good one. The lyrics and topics have not been so dreadfull since his 'Berlin' days. Metallica gives it all a fitting background of guitars and drums. So if you are into Lou Reed, get this. If you are into Metallica, you might want to skip this one.
This is just terrible (Edited)
