I'm not questioning anyone who likes them - clearly they work for you. I've tried these guys a couple of times - they just don't resonate with me.
When I listen to Can I feel like I'm communing with the universe. This was not rock, this was not jazz, this was not electronic , it defined the confines of genre by becoming free expression of the will . They made music that was timeless and original and alien . This is music to unlock the primal and the evolved.
Listening to Can is a reason to live.
No more group kinda Can.

A solid band and the vanguard of an entire genre. Featured Jaki Liebezeit, easily one of the 10 best drummers in all of rock.
I've been discovering Can over the last few weeks and I can safely say they've become one of my current favourite bands. I will definitely listen to some of these albums long into the future. One aspect of their music that has won me over is the incredible drumming style of Jaki Liebezeit which is just relentless at times and so so groovy at others.

Legendary jammy band. Probably the best german band of all time. Their importance is way too often underrated. They were a part of the creation of electronica, ambient and hip hop (the latter unintentionally). Very ahead of their time and probably one of the most important bands of all time.
Hell yes. Jaki Liebezeit shines - downright hypnotic drummer. production is right-on.
One of the great bands of the late 60s/early 70s. One of the best drummers of the era. Energetic live performances. Their influence can be heard on artists as diverse as Radiohead, The Mars Volta, and Focus.
