Try also: 'Geogaddi' and 'The Campfire Headphase'. My favourite electronic album is a very disquieting mix of hip-hop beats, ambient and freaky voices. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2013]

Try also : anything else by Cluster. Amazing album, quite different from their other works, poppier and catchier. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2013]

Try also: well, just about any. Personal favourites are 'Autobahn', 'The Man-Machine' and 'Computer World', but pretty much everything is fascinating. This is Kraftwerk's best IMO, "Ohm Sweet Ohm" particularly is to die for. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2013]

Try also: 'Like Weather', 'Blood Looms and Blooms' and 'U&I'(I have my reservation about this one, still interesting though). Leila is totally overlooked, this scandal must be stopped, I'm counting on you. This LP is a mix of futuristic soul/r'n'b, creepy lullabies and sudden outbursts of noisy anger. Dreamy and sublime. Try also: well, you know. After a long spell of inactivity as Portishead, the band comes back to offer an updated version of their spleen. It's now angrier, krauter: clever move that makes 'Third' fit its era at least as well as 'Dummy' fitted its. Still unmistakably Portishead, totally different though. Effing geniuses. I don't have unconditional love for Schulze. He walks on a thin edge, risking at every step to fall into prettiness and vanity. However, this one is absolutely perfect. Try also: 'Irrlicht', avoid 'X' and 'Picture Music'. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2013]

Electroclash was born here but never attained this level of consistency and sexiness. Rock n' roll with machines retains the savageness of early rock n'roll, vocalist Vega delivers exactly what it takes to make the record deeply deranging. Try also Martin Rev's eponymous solo LP if you're into this kind of electronics, and Vega's solo LPs if you're into this kind of rock n'roll. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2013]

Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 2% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 90.6/100, a mean average of 93.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 93.9/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 6.3.

You got things on here that deserves much more praise than they get... things like Isolée, Superpitcher, Grooverider, Console, Kenny Larkin, Jacno (!), Lindstrom or Richard Davis (I should stop now). And lots to discover too, very well done.

Nice collection. Not a fan of electronic music enough to do something like this, but appreciate this one.
