Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Is this a joke...ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS!!?? As one of the greatest of all time?? You should have just stuck with your top 5.

even so, daniel powter's 'bad day' is clearly not one of the greatest 3 songs of all time.. it's just a slightly less annoying version of 'you're beautiful' by james blunt.. and has since become synonymous with the kind of god awful romantic comedies you might catch hugh grant bumbling through

Pretty blah chart, not enough albums to give a higher rating.
I give you points for being brave enough to choose some different Beatles albums for your top stop. I take away points for choosing Coldplay over Radiohead.
Picking Coldplay over Radiohead is just absurd, but if you add some more albums on the list then I may raise the score.
