This one's a no-brainer for me. The Beatles in my opinion are the reason why most music sounds the way it does today, for good or for bad, The Beatles changed music forever. And Abbey Road is a fantastic album with only one or two off songs, but is a milestone in music.

Most people consider this to be the better album of the big three albums (Abbey Road, Sgt. Peppers and Revolver) but I like Abbey Road a bit better. However this is a fantastic album that changed the way music sounds forever with the experimental songs such as Within You and Without You on the album.

Arcade Fire's The Suburb's is an accomplishment not just for the band, but for all indie music. The biggest accomplishment with this album is being able to sell to a wider album (peaking at #1 on Billboard) and still keeping it's Indie roots.

Best Coast is a fantastic surf rock indie band that really brings back the feel of old 50's-70's surf rock and girl bands. Although the lyrics aren't very varied (most of them are about weed and falling in love) but thats the beauty of the album. Great beach music and definitely a good download.

Arcade Fire is probably the biggest indie act of the 2000's and beyond, and for a good reason. Neon Bible displays the band personality and talent perfectly through it's soul gripping songs such as Intervention and Black Wave/Bad Vibrations. The album's real accomplishment with this album is the whole feel of the album being in between sorrow and hope. Something that very few bands can accomplish, and when done correctly the outcome can be breathtaking.

Not enough can be said about the band, and The White Album is among it's many hidden jems. Although this was the first album was the first where the group didn't record together (they used separate studios), this album gives a good insight into each Beatle's music style and where their careers might be going in the future.

A perfect example of early 2000's mainstream alternative rock. This album doesn't have a bad track with many beautiful songs and alternative classics.

The People's Key is a great album full of philosophy that the band adds in for effect. The album alone is filled with great hits that many people will like. Although this was their 'sellout album' to some people, I still thought it was a great album by a strong band.

Possibly the bands greatest and most successful album is one with a lot of diversity. Everything from great hooks and catchy choruses (Feel Good Inc.) to weird songs with great guitar riffs (O Green World).
