Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Fantastic
beautiful music.
I wish you had more different artists, it`s a bit boring to read Beatles and Dylan on every side...
Maybe you do some decade charts, cause I want to see more of your Music.

I just meant that don't take that list to literally, there are about 20 other albums that can beat out a lot of those albums and I haven't rated them yet. A lot of the albums I have on there are kind of "in that moment" type of albums meaning that I automatically concluded that the album was great after one listen. Thanks for the comment though.
I like your chart as well, lots of good stuff in here.

truly some great artists and albums. your top 5 most represented artists make up 46% of your chart - despite the quality of every one of these i feel its limiting this chart. as for radiohead i have never been convinced of their standing as a greatest 50

some great albums...i have to agree with freddie on the no more than two picks though. plus i think wilco's "am" is a steaming pile of crap. and im a pretty big wilco fan.
