Ooh, babe! "The Wall" is such a wall of over-delivery, but without ever coming across as annoying, embarrassing or as an unintended joke. The music changes from fragile to thunderous and back again countless times with a steady build-up during the whole album until the wall is finally torn down by the end. Never before have emotions been expressed so boldly and never before has an album moved me so much, simply an epic concept album that never stops blowing your mind! Add to this some of the strongest nostalgic memories and you have a clear almost #1 favourite of all time.

If you need to lighten up a little, this is the album you need to hear. Here, you get everything from the many beautiful ballads to some ligtly rocky moments to the 11 minutes long extended disco version (!) of "Here Comes the Night", originally from the 1967 album "Wild Honey". I'd especially like to pinpoint the rather unknown "Baby Blue" which sounds like dropping down slowly from heaven.

Wonderful, a miracle, beautiful and magical. Their biggest hits found on it, yet with such artful finesse. Whimsical, bombastic, catchy and again magical, it simply contains all Supertramp's strengths!

Music can only be interesting when the band themselves have fear of music. Time, money, drugs, religion and science won't change you, but this album surely will!

George is almost not guilty of making a guilty pleasure here. It's significantly poppy and lighthearted, but whatever, that's only a great thing in this instance. To actually believe that love comes to everyone is a beautiful mindset!

Disco? Very. Hands down the most uncool ELO album, but the truth is that I enjoy the most obvious disco tunes here the most. If you really want the night to last forever and if you want it served with ELO's charm, this is where your night begins!

A Barbra Streisand concept album about wetness, or things that are wet or related in any way to water, both in literal and in figurative senses... tears or actual rain, that pretty much covers its lyrical content. The songs tend to be either upbeat and fun or slow and sentimental, overall the music is quite varied. A good way to get through rainy days, if you don't appreciate those!

Van Morrison into the music once again. Joyous, playful and celtic, this is Van the Man on the bright side of the road. A highly pleasurable album from one of the greatest troubadors of all time.

The Clash are bringing their revolution rock to the world now that phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust. They're still undeniably rooted in punk, but with ska/reggae/funk/jazz/the-list-goes-on-influences, this is hardly a punk record at all! Very festive music!

XTC wired with drums and wires. Arguably their first great album, it truly feels like they've found themselves here, without too much influence from the post-punk scene. A heavy load of pure energy with lots of quirky catchiness to it as best exemplified by the uptempo single "Making Plans for Nigel"!
