Astral Weeks is genius, but Moondance sounds better for me. Anything that came right after is also worth it, and I hear he's still good today.
Van stands tall on the pedestal of passionate, vital singer/songwriters. One of my all time favourite artists.

Van the Man
Travelled around Europe in a bashed up Beetle in the mid Eighties with a buddy who loved Van Morrison. We only had a couple of cassettes so they got played a lot! Over recent years I've been adding to my collection and will no doubt continue to do so over the coming ones. Into the Music is my favourite so far, with Moondance not far behind.

Took a while to get into him...but i now think he is outstanding. Excellent in the 60's,70's and 80's...but still producing quality to this day.
Van the Man is my all time favorite solo performer! Just an amazing artist.

This list makes me realize I do not know Veedon Fleece well enough. My top four would be: Astral Weeks, Moondance, Tupelo Honey and Into the Music. Carry on voting for your own fave, though, the man has made some amazing albums.... 80's stuff like Poetic Champions and Enlightenment was just fine, too.
