Julian's most mature and organic-sounding album yet. A highly nostalgic feel to it, as illustrated on the album cover, with strong influence from none other than his father/The Beatles, to the point where he almost lifts his own daddy's melodies (not in a bad way), including "Way to the Heart" which clearly references "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds", the song that his father wrote based on a drawing Julian made as child.

Ready for drowning? This Manic Street Preachers album will wash over you like an everlasting tsunami with its melancholy and tenderness. Probably the most lofty collection of songs you get from these guys!

"Adore" is the sound of a band falling apart. Billy Corgan sounds more depressed this time and he sounded very depressed on previous albums! The aggressive rockers on "Mellon Collie" were mostly great, but often I'm not in the mood for that kind of trashing music. This much more mellow album, I'm always in the mood for as long as I'm in a melancholic state of mind. It's really adorable in places!

Swim in this drowned world of Madonna. It's very dreamy, trippy, kinda frozen, but incredible!

Turquoise hexagon sun with a strangely aquatic feel to it. You need to hear it to just slightly comprehend what it is!

Goldie's super ambtitious follow-up to the also quite expansive "Timeless". Musically, it still follows the fascinating combination of drum 'n' bass and ambient textures, but with quite a few more ideas. The most notable track perhaps is the 60 minutes long opener (!), "Mother", which has a quite unusual progression starting with ambience and an orchestral part before it moves into drum 'n' bass territory and ends in ambient and orchestral soundscapes again.

Teardroppingly beautiful trip hop/downtempo music. A bit eerie at times, but mostly soothing and seducing!

Without Placebo you're still something, but you're a lot richer with. Here, Placebo grant us with everything from tender ballads to adrenalizing angst-ridden guitar rock. Anyone who thinks the world needs more albums in the same vein as Radiohead's "The Bends" should drop by here.

TNT
As powerful as TNT, except it's not explosive. It's more like flowing, winding and tinkling its way. My nonsense aside, this instrumental album is a chilling experience. Genre... who knows?!
