So my best friend's dad is Scottish and this year she took me to the local Scottish fair. I sort of have realized since that their music is sort of the best. But since they're not a country, we can't sort out just Scottish music on this site. So here's some of the best Scottish bands I've found, alphabetically by band, choosing my own personal favorite album by each band. I'll label each album with a genre but I'll leave my own opinions out, as all of these range from "pretty good" to "very good".

Just one correction, Scotland is most defiantly a country with it’s own distinct culture. It may be included here until the umbrella of the UK. Scotland might be small but it’s beautifully formed.
Have got that small gripe out of the way, love that you have put together a chart of some of scotlands great music. Couldn’t see them listed but also check out teenage Fanclub and Dean owens. Great artists both

Excellent,great to see another Scottish chart. I only just realised that you have these in alphabetical order! Some great Scottish bands to check out are Orange Juice, Associates, The Blue Nile and Aztec Camera.
