The 2010's are not the best decade with especially that slowed down music that seems to invade the radio and also a number of albums in the BEA top chart. But 2016 was also very promising for three reasons:
- good albums by some of the oldies like Wilco, Dinosaur Jr., Metallica, Bettie Serveert, Bob Mould
- very promising albums by new and/or young bands/artists: The Men, DIIV, Car Seat Headrest, Kevin Morby, The Goon Sax, Yuck, Jeff Rosenstock, etc
- and especially (although they are not the highest ranked in the list) this is a year of loss: loss of own life (David Bowie, Leonard Cohen), loss of a loved one (Nick Cave) and loss in general (Radiohead).
All in all some very good albums.

This is the fourth album of their the career of one of my favorite bands (the first one was with Lou Barlow, the second without Lou Barlow and the third again with Lou Barlow). And again what a magnificent album it is. The guitars of J Mascis shine as before and the songs are there to enhance things further. There is nothing really knew but this is just one of those albums which make me happy just listening at it. Nearly all the songs are top but Lost All Day is even better.
