The raspier, more unkept side of the Rolling Blackouts discography. And yet, as a debut LP, this is fantastically well formed and delivered. The groundwork for their summery sound is laid here in superb fashion; the riffs on Clean Slate are delectable, whilst the vocals on Wide Eyes are fantastically catchy. One of, if not, the best jangle pop releases of the year.
