I wasn't expected anything this year to become one of my favourite albums of all time, let alone a straightforward indie rock album, but here we are. I also wasn't expecting to like this more than the original, but not only is the production better, the songs have also just been improved compositionally. For the first 6 months of the year this was by far the album I listened to the most between both versions, probably the most obsessed I've been over a single album for such a long period ever really. The amount of times I've screamed along to every song here while driving has definitely caused irreparable damage to my vocal chords.
