I try not to include compilations in my charts (except for the yearly charts), but this collection gives a good introduction to the early punk scene and can be ignored by those who don't regard compilations as 'real' albums (including myself).

Although not the first (punk had it's roots years earlier in New York), this is the archetypical punk album. This album changed our views of what music/fashion/attitudes could be. Few albums make national headline news when they are released and this one caused uproar.
