Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 80.2/100, a mean average of 78.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.3.

Johny Rotten is definitely the best thing about this record, one of the most original vocalists for sure alongside Dylan. The band not so much; they just rip off some Chuck Berry riffs on and on like countless bands before them, though Steve Jones has its moments: the riff of God Save the Queen, the opening to Bodies and the mini-solo to EMI, but overall this band is nothing without Johny Rotten, which is why I prefer The Clash, The Ramones, The Damned or Wire.
the filth and the fury! iconic music punk
Its influence is largely overstated, as their style is basically the New York Dolls with perhaps even less melodic and rawer vocals, which they don't shy away from admitting themselves either as is evident from the track New York (not only by the title, but also by the exeggarated pronunciation of the word "kiSSSS"). It's a very good album nonetheless.
Excelente dose de selvageria, humor e despeito!
While this album was definitely an important one in the punk rock genre, I think its a bit overrated. It's far from the best punk album ever
There was a time listening to this album was almost part of my daily routine.
This is definitely getting a nostalgia bump, as it got many plays in my mid-teens. I still enjoy it quite a bit though.
What is it with classic rock albums and having pink on the cover art? "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Elvis Presley" by Elvis Presley, "London Calling" by The Clash, and this
