This is THE album. It’s truly a masterpiece in every regard. Such intelligence in the lyrics and dark, harrowing and all things "inconvenient". There is so much vivid imagery that is conjured up in lines such as "so wash your car in your X baseball shoes" and " just an ambulance at the bottom of a cliff".
I got into the Manics in 2005 when as a teenager I used to gather together greatest hits of bands I'd liked through sitting in front of VH2 or listening to Virgin Radio and at first this record was a bit too much for me, but two years later I had fully immersed myself in it and although its not my most listened to album (I simply cannot be in the mood for its themes all of the time) - it hasn't fallen places as my most favourite - each time I hear it I am overwhelmed by its excellence.

My most listened to album of all time... and I only discovered it in 2013. A true journey, lead by Paddy McAloon with his lovely warm and delicate vocals and gorgeous lyrics, through themes of music, God, Elvis, love and death.

Growing up on Bowie, my favourite album of his would jostle in position almost weekly, until I settled on this - his masterpiece of masterpieces..

2015 remains the best and most formative year of my life and it was bolstered tremendously by this vibrant pop album coming as a Japanese import ahead of the summer - this album helped compartmentalise my own emotions, as well as accompany me on a glorious trip across the eastern States and the 4 corners of the United Kingdom. Its been a mainstay ever since, impossibly good pop, impeccably produced and completely out of the left field.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. In response to a question you posed elsewhere, I guess it was to offset, more or less the backlash, aimed more at the self-promotion than the rest of his choices. Ratings don’t mean much, but I’d rather not run someone off the site.
As for your chart, I’ll echo what the previous user said. Definitely not my choices, but this chart looks sincere and has some personality, so I dig it. And as a fellow Los Campesinos fan, I’m peaches as pie to see them getting some love.

Station to Station is underrated! Great seeing it in the top ten. Funny I just listened to Manic Street Preachers last night, man I need to listen to more of their work. Apparently I need to check out The Cribs. Cool chart! Heck you even have Robyn, Lorde, Santigold and Lykke Li, that's awesome.

That’s great to hear, HeavyChair! I’m a huge fan, seeing them 4 times on this tour, met Beth after the show in Manchester and they’re the nicest person. New album is great!
