Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm NotUnited Kingdom Arctic Monkeys
Never would I have believed that I would get goosebumps from a song about a group of chavs, let alone an entire album about getting trashed in nightclubs, being thrown out by the bouncers and complaining the entire journey home in a taxi.

PinkertonUnited States Weezer
I can only recall one time where I've actually despised an album on first listen, and this album was Pinkerton. But in a bizarre twist of events, this actually turned out to be the most relatable album ever produced.

Tried to be edgy by intentionally not placing this album in my top ten. Needless to say that was a very dark period of my life.

The Moon & AntarcticaUnited States Modest Mouse
Lonesome Crowded West was a favourite of mine for a very important period in my life. So imagine my surprise when I found an album by the same band that was even better.

I think half the reason I love this album so much is the album cover alone. Or at least how perfectly the music reflects it.

The Lonesome Crowded WestUnited States Modest Mouse
Lyrically my favourite album of all time. What's not to love about some deranged cowboys angry that their land is being overrun by men in suits!?

I drive past the homes of several Smiths members on my commute to work. My theory is that if I listen to this album enough times at the right volume I can get them to reunite.
