Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Love this.Most of my free time to listen to music is during the night,which automatically disqualifies certain albums from being chosen to listen to due to not being in the mood.This will help a lot

One or two things I don't know (e.g. Lower Dens), and I still don't understand the appeal of ( ), otherwise that's an ace selection.
