Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 89.4/100, a mean average of 88.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.6/100. The standard deviation for this track is 10.7.

You really can’t fail with Gilmour playing the fender, the 2nd half of the song is just so powerful with the riff
Awesome in terms of being atmospheric, which is the appeal of Pink Floyd for me.
This song sounds terrific played live by the Australian Pink Floyd Show esp the bass.
Maybe a slightly overrated song this one. It sounds promising at the beginning but it never really develops or builds in that way that Pink Floyd would perfect in a few years time.
ONE OF THESE DAYS I'M GOING TO CUT YOU TO PIECES!!
Contains a sample/recreation of the very beginning of the Dr. Who theme; Dr. Who being 8 years old at the time.
This was actually released as a single by Floyd. I remember it being on the Juke Box of my local heavy music pub with 'Fearless' on the b-side (which got played more often). Just shows how adventerous commercial releases could be in those days.
