A very solid album. The one major problem is that "Monster" is so far ahead of the rest of the album that it kind of overshadows it. Still pretty good, though.

Do yourself a favor and listen to Drake's 'Take Care' instead.

This must be Kanye's most influential, might be the greatest masterpiece on Hip Hop genre (next to Nas' Illmatic). This is a must. It's an instant greatest hit album! Definitely!

I mean I like POWER, dark fantasy, and monster even grew on me somewhat. But come on people! is this really amazing? Whats so interesting about a guy with a huge ego talking about himself... NOTHING! I appreciate Kanye's top-notch production but who the hell wants to hear an egotistical douche-bag read his diary out loud for an hour and a half?

i like Useless' review, but he nailed on the head the reason i hate this album. not only can i not relate, but the droves of folks who put this (and kanye) on some kind of alter, keep me from listening to the album objectively. i cant say its not a great rap album, because i dont generally listen to rap, but this album has no place on the "great" albums of the decade. Grossly overrated, as is kanye himself.

this album is amazing and every song here deserves no less than a perfect rating.
