Listened to this late a night whilst watching a documentary about the Chinese astronaut who heard knocking on his craft. Nice fit. Eerie.

Big fan, but I agree with previous comments--some of Eno's ambient stuff does for me fall into the "wind chimes" category, nothing wrong with wind chimes, but not what I put on an album for. Here, and on the Apollo album, he does what I thought his intention with his brand of ambient was supposed to be: background music at a certain volume that can also reward focused listening if you choose.

Not bad. Real dark work here. Not as memorable as 1 or 2, but solid.

My favourite Eno instrumental album.
Yes, a bit unsettling in parts.
Two of the tracks are used in Salad Fingers.
Enough said.

Yeah as the comment below says, this is much better than the dull airports album. This is nice.

There are some fucked up perverts who prefer ambient 1 to this. Weird, I know.

This music treads an uneasy path between sublime and unsettling. Genuinely makes you feel like you are in all sorts of different outdoor terrains. Alone. Excerpts were used in Scorsese's Shutter Island and that gloriously grisly YouTube cartoon, Salad Fingers.

I read about some guy who, on a hot summers night, would play this on an expensive sound system in his living room and open the doors onto his garden and the crickets would all swarm around the patio chirping in harmony with it.
