Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Interesting chart! lots of british indie/alternative, that isn't seen much on this site (aside from the smiths of course)

Awesome! Smiths and Suede. Takes you back to 80s and 90s alternative underground scene. The chart feels like it's missing some alt Seattle sound, but it's great nontheless
An enjoyable bunch of flowers and a good whiff off nostalgia.
Lots to like here...being a huge Smiths fan myself Marie's the name is my favourite Elvis track too ;-)
It's a good chart. Stick to what you're passionate about!

Fantastic, unique chart.
Lot of obscure albums (and European) I will have to check out. I have never really gotten into Suede but think I should give them a real try.

Suedehead... huh. Never would have guessed you were into The Smiths or Morrissey.
Refreshing to see Strangeways number 1, although somehow, it is my least favourite Smiths album, and that to me reinforces how incredible the Smiths discography is as Strangeways is still a classic!
