Fire Down Under ratings

Average Rating:
70/100 (from 46 votes)

where:
av = trimmed mean average rating an item has currently received.
n = number of ratings an item has currently received.

AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.8/100, a mean average of 69.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.2.

“I've been away awhile... got distracted a little. Now, back at it. THE NEXT SET OF PUNK AND/OR METAL RELEASES THAT HELPED SET THE GROUNDWORK FOR THRASH METAL But first, I will start by backtracking a little and covering some albums I missed from 1980 and 1981 when going through those years…”

From Repo 12/16/2021 03:18 in Rank 'Em: The Beach Boys
“Repo's Top 13 "METAL" Albums of 1981 13. Bait & Switch Ok. So the album cover is a bit of a bait & switch. For those (like me!) who were expecting something akin to Venom. Something evil and from the grave, maybe. Forget about it! These guys had much more in common with the 70s hard rocking stuff…”

ah! there is the band with the most inappropriate mascot. let's be honest: this harbour seal pup in front of what looks like an explosion is really hilarious. :O)
the songs are mainly speed-hair-metal-like: powerful, pretentious and posing. nothing what makes the earth pause.
